So, I'm finally 21... On my birthday, some friends took me out to the Amabassador (an awesome restaurant up here) for BLT, Tostado, and Garlic Chicken pizzas and a few drinks. I had a thing called a fishbowl- basically it's a big wine glass that you can get whatever you want in, so I had a raspberry lemonade with some whiskey and Triple Sec in it. After that we headed over to the Keweenaw Brewing Company (KBC, a locally microbrewery) where I had a six beer sampler of all the beer they brew. Then Joe, Matt, and the bartender at the DT (also a local bar) bought me a few shots. Contrary to what most of you are probably thinking, I did NOT get trashed :P I was perfectly sober and fine by then end of the night, so it was fun. There's no sense in getting sick because of alcohol on your birthday- that'd defeat the point of having fun.
Cassie's folks were up last weekend and took me out to the North Shore Grill, where we had some excellent food (I had elk chops). The next day we went up to the Harbor Haus before it closes for the winter and had some excellent food there too.
Then I went home for a huge family birthday party for my brothers, my aunt, and myself. We got together at Grandma's house and had some delicious food, opened presents (so money lol) and then visited St. Thomas with our cousins. My step-grandpa Bob also dropped off a CB radio for my truck, Emma and Sam bought me a set of jumper cables, and Jenny got me a book about every nation's air force, so that was all really cool to get. It was really fun to see everyone again too, I always love going home to do that.
Anyhow, I'm back up at school now and it's going well, too. Speaking of which, I must be on my way to Psychology, so I'm off. I'll update next weekend too, probably.
Woops, it's been awhile...
